WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

We are seeking a self-motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our logistics team and maintain and implement new logistical processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team to completing variance tasks to a high standard. task includes: - goods receiving, storing, and dispatching products, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse. The role involves physical tasks and a commitment to working in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse operatives.
• Allocate tasks and manage workloads to ensure productivity and deadlines are met.
• Gauge workloads across logistics to determine if re-allocation of resource is required.
• Monitor the performance of all warehouse functions and provide training or support as needed.
• Conduct performance reviews and offer feedback/coaching to improve team effectiveness.
• Attend staff capability meetings (if required) .
• Oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring smooth operational flow.
• Ensure stock is handled efficiently and that products are received, stored, and dispatched correctly.
• Maintain robust procedures are in place when material is move to in/out stock to protect inventory accuracy.
• Ensure that orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Ensure all current work instructions are composed correctly and maintained if changes occur.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
• Continuously review warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement new processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Suggest and implement solutions to improve stock accuracy, storage, and kitting fulfilment.
• Maintain clear communication between warehouse operatives and senior management.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on warehouse activities, team performance, and inventory levels.
• Act as the point of contact for any warehouse-related queries or issues.
• Lead/attend business meetings where required.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• GCSE O level or equivalent passes in English and Maths.
• Proven leadership experience within the logistics industry (2 years +).
• Awareness of quality procedures within comparable industry.
• Computer literacy Including WMS & Microsoft Office (intermediate level or higher).
• Clear Communicator: Build relationships easily and solve problems proactively with all levels of the business.
• Good organisation & time management with ability to cope with multiple projects.
• Self-Starter: Able to work independently and take initiative, while being a great team player.
• Problem-Solving: Quickly analyse situations and find effective solutions, balancing the details with the bigger picture.
• Results orientated with a drive to achieve KPIs & targets.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Health,Safety & Environment awareness, including knowledge of safe working practices.

Desired

• Forklift certification.
• Background in Aerospace or composites material.
• Background in Manufacturing experience.
